About
The Museum of the Home explores how we live, and how we have lived, through the history of home. Housed in former almshouses at 136 Kingsland Road in Hoxton, East London, it has occupied the site for over a century, with galleries and gardens that are free to visit Tuesday to Sunday. Its mission is to reveal and rethink the ways we live, in order to live better together.
Alongside its galleries, gardens and temporary exhibitions, the museum runs a programme of events that includes film screenings. These are often presented as curated series exploring a particular theme, shown in the museum's event space and sometimes accompanied by introductions from guest programmers.
