Backyard Cinema is an immersive, pop-up cinema experience that transforms film screenings into theatrical adventures through elaborate themed sets and environments. Unlike traditional cinemas, audiences journey through movie-grade installations—whether it's an enchanted forest, a spaceship, or a curiosity shop with secret passages—before settling into signature beanbag seating to watch classic films, new releases, and seasonal favourites. Each themed "world" is designed to make the entire visit feel like stepping into the film itself, complete with bars, live entertainment, and atmospheric touches like snow falling before screenings.

The venue operates as seasonal pop-ups in different London locations (previously Wandsworth, currently appearing in areas like London Bridge and Elephant & Castle), with themes changing throughout the year—from sci-fi space stations to winter wonderlands with Northern Lights. Screenings mix nostalgic classics (Home Alone, Elf, The Muppet Christmas Carol) with blockbusters and cult favourites, often accompanied by themed cocktails, street food vendors, and live cabaret or music performances.
