About
Tooting Bec Lido is, by its own account, "the UK's largest freshwater outdoor pool at 91m in length" — an unheated open-air pool on the edge of Tooting Bec Common, run by Places Leisure on behalf of Wandsworth Council. Alongside the main pool there is a children's paddling pool, a café, and picnic and sunbathing areas, with pool hoists and accessible steps for getting into the water.
The pool opens for the summer season from May, and the poolside is occasionally given over to open-air film screenings.
