The Mall Tavern is a pub on Palace Gardens Terrace, just off Kensington Church Street by Notting Hill Gate, listed in the Telegraph's "Top 500 Pubs in England" and in Time Out London's best Sunday lunches. Alongside its craft beer and food menus it keeps a busy programme of community events — live music in the basement, a Monday jazz jam, a chess club and a quiz.
The pub runs a monthly film night in its downstairs room, promising "a fully stocked bar, fresh popcorn and proper big-screen atmosphere" and summing the evening up as "a great film, a good pint, popcorn". The programme leans towards the cult and the unexpected rather than new releases.
