Arts Centre
About
The cornerHOUSE was created in 1995 through "an imaginative conversion of a church hall", and bills itself as "a creative hub for the community" — a community arts centre for Surbiton, Tolworth and the surrounding areas. It is a registered charity run entirely by volunteers, with no paid staff, in premises provided by St Matthew's Church.
The programme runs from resident theatre companies and a Christmas pantomime through comedy, music, exhibitions, poetry and playwriting groups, and a monthly film club that screens in both a matinee and an evening sitting.
