Cine Real is the only film club in the UK dedicated exclusively to 16mm projection. Founded in 2011 by Liam Saint-Pierre and Ümit Mesut, it operates from a hand-built 15-seat screening room in the back of their Clapton shop — the kind of intimate cinema you'd struggle to find anywhere else in London.
Every screening uses rare original prints, with the projector kept visible in the room so audiences can experience the full magic of analogue film. Each event begins with an introduction to the film, and there's time to linger and talk afterwards. Cine Real also offers private hire screenings for up to 15 people, where you can choose from their archive collection.
